Dusty is a Toronto-based writer, director and producer. His previous short film, WINTER HYMNS, won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2016 Slamdance Film Festival, the Golden Egg Award at the Reykjavík International Film Festival, Board of Directors Award at the North Carolina Film Festival and Best Short, Best Director and Best Cast at the Canadian Film Fest. His short films have screened at festivals worldwide, including TIFF, VIFF, BFI London Film Festival, Krakow Film Festival and have aired on CBC, Air Canada, Virgin Atlantic, and sold to Shorts International. His feature screenplay THE HUNGRY WILD was developed through the NSI Features First Program and the Whistler Film Festival's Praxis's Screenwriting Lab. Most recently, he received financing for his first feature film through Telefilm Canada's Talent to Watch program. Dusty holds a BFA with honours in film production from York University, is an alumnus of the Reykjavík Talent Lab, TIFF Talent Lab, and was selected to participate in Telefilm Canada's inaugural Not Short on Talent panel at TIFF.
